In Shandan county, Zhangye, Gansu province, the Yanzhi and Qilian Mountains stand facing each other, forming a narrow passage along the Silk Road, known as "the pass that controls Jinchuan." Walking this ancient path, one can almost hear the echoes of camel bells from centuries past.

In Shandan, visitors can witness the Han (206 BC-AD 220) and Ming (1368-1644) Great Walls running side by side — a vivid narrative of China's enduring civilization.

  • First launched in 1993, the Lanzhou Fair has evolved into one of western China's leading platforms for international economic and trade cooperation.
