China Railway Lanzhou Bureau operates 18.54m summer season trips

The China Railway Lanzhou Bureau in Gansu province operated 18.54 million trips during the 62-day summer travel rush, which concluded on Aug 31, averaging 299,000 daily.

To address demand, the bureau adopted a dynamic adjustment mechanism to maximize resource efficiency, operating 1,331 pairs of reconnected high-speed trains and 475.5 pairs of peak service lines.

In addition to enhancing transport capacity, the bureau introduced several passenger-friendly initiatives. Standardized services, such as quiet carriages, were extended to major stations and high-speed trains, with convenient transfers at stations, online meal ordering, and special passenger reservations continuously optimized to improve the travel experience.
