Gansu province's cultural tourism market saw a peak in visitors during the National Day holiday, with travelers enjoying autumn scenery, intangible cultural heritage, night tours, and rural experiences.

The Mogao Caves in Dunhuang drew crowds to explore Silk Road heritage, while the Gansu Provincial Museum received 11,887 visits on Oct 1, with over 60 percent from outside the province.

Pingliang's Kongtong Mountain, covered in autumn colors, offered martial arts performances and costumed character interactions. Zhangye's Colorful Danxia scenic area introduced helicopter and hot air balloon tours, combining ground sightseeing with high-altitude experiences.

In Wuwei, the Leitai Scenic Area staged the provincial intangible cultural heritage Liangzhou Bantai Opera, along with folk songs and puppet shows. Jiayuguan's night market featured red song performances and fireworks.

Lanzhou's Yanyu Lanshan rural vitalization demonstration belt on Gaolan Mountain combined farm stays, camping, fruit picking, and intangible cultural heritage markets, becoming a popular short-trip choice.

  • A training program on artificial intelligence and digital education for education officials and university representatives from Central Asia opened on Sunday at Northwest Normal University in Lanzhou, Gansu province, bringing together 27 participants from Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan.
