There is a kind of animal on Northwest China's Qilian Mountain who is even more dangerous than snow leopards and dwarf Tibetan foxes.

They are wolves, a national second-class protected species that are distributed in every corner of the mountain as an important part of the ecological balance.

Wolves are small, but by working together, they can take down and eat large herbivores. However, their lives are still difficult.

A heavy snow in early summer often makes newborn wolves curious, but coldness, hunger, and disease are their enemies.

Every time they hunt, the parent wolves will spit out food hidden in their stomachs and enjoy dinner with their children.

Since omnivorous pig badgers are dangerous to wolf pups, mother wolves have to hide around their dens to protect their cubs until autumn, when the little wolves can finally travel with the pack.
