Dunhuang art program surges in popularity

In 2024, Wang Quanchao, director of the Dunhuang Mural Art Heritage and Innovation Studio, introduced the groundbreaking "Chinese Language plus Dunhuang Mural Art" program. This initiative transformed traditional teaching by showcasing 1:1 scale replicas of iconic Dunhuang cave murals and colored sculptures, offering an immersive, scenario-based learning experience.
The program, situated in Jiuquan - historically known as the 'Homeland of Flying Apsaras' - combines language education with hands-on artistic practice, reflecting a modern approach to preserving and promoting traditional Chinese cultural heritage."
