National college entrance exam ends on a high note in Lanzhou
Chengguan district of Lanzhou city, Gansu province, completed its support services for this year's national college entrance exam, or gaokao, on the afternoon of June 9.
A total of 8,759 candidates took the national college entrance exam in the Chengguan exam area this year and the area set up 11 dedicated exam centers and 300 exam rooms.

These included 10 English exam centers and one minor language exam center, serving 90 candidates taking German, Russian, Spanish, Japanese and French exams.
As the exam area with the largest number of minority language candidates and subjects in the province, Chengguan district set up a special minority language exam center this year to lower the pressure on other centers.

Each exam center established 10 special working groups to ensure the smooth operation of the group examination work.
Strengthened efforts were also made by the local departments of public security, transport and health to jointly guarantee the efficient operations of the entire process.
