Nearly 1,000 triathlon athletes challenge themselves in Gansu's Jiayuguan

The 2026 "Triathlon China" T100 Jiayuguan Open, alongside the China Jiayuguan Triathlon 17th Edition, took place from July 25 to 26 at Donghu Eco-Tourism Scenic Area in Jiayuguan, Gansu province.

The event featured multiple competitions: the "Triathlon China" T100 Open, the "Belt and Road" International Triathlon Great Wall Gobi Challenge, the "She Tri" Women's Triathlon, and the Jiayuguan Junior Triathlon, drawing 975 participants. The T100 Open, the first stop in China, included elite and age group categories.

Kicking off on July 25, the Jiayuguan Junior Triathlon welcomed young athletes aged 6 to 15 and featured duathlon and family relay categories, promoting triathlon among youth and families.

The race courses incorporated landmarks such as Donghu Lake, the Great Wall, and the Gobi Desert, creating a unique "Great Wall Gobi" themed event.

Jiayuguan, a key Silk Road city, is renowned for its Great Wall culture and desert landscapes. The event blended sports, history, and tourism, allowing participants to push their limits while enjoying Jiayuguan's majestic scenery and open, inclusive spirit.
