Red-crowned cranes rest in Zhangye, Gansu province

A dozen of red-crowned cranes were seen dancing at Zhangye National Wetland Park, Gansu province, on Feb 18, after a snowfall.
Photographers captured pictures of the cranes foraging and resting leisurely in the snowfield. The beautiful pure white scenes also attracted a body of tourists.
Red-crowned cranes are under first-class State protection. Their appearance at the lake is believed to be a result of improved environmental conditions.
