The Mati Temple Scenic Area in Sunan Yugu autonomous county, Zhangye, Gansu province, currently boasts breathtaking scenery, thanks to a recent snowfall.
A sea of pines and cypresses are wrapped in silver, and the cliff grottoes sparkle under the blue sky.
Mati Temple was built during the Jin Dynasty (265-420). It is a national 5A-level tourist area integrating grotto art, Buddhist culture and Qilian Mountain scenery.
