Longnan regards rural construction as an important lever for bolstering comprehensive rural vitalization, improving rural public infrastructure and optimizing the living environment. The city has strengthened the sense of gain, happiness and security of farmers.
Over the past two years, Longnan has built 201 demonstration villages with a total investment of some 1.37 billion yuan ($191.66 million). This year, it plans to invest 365 million yuan in building one provincial-level demonstration county and 100 demonstration villages.
Longnan implements the concept that "lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets", which is also known as the "Two Mountains Theory", adheres to green ecology, clarifies the positioning and development goals of villages based on their local conditions and characteristics, and achieves differentiated development.
