Bar-headed geese were seen recently at the Yangguan national natural reserve in Dunhuang, Gansu province, together with thousands of wild ducks.
The goose is unique to the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau and is a national level II protected species. Thanks to local protection efforts, more geese have been spotted in the reserve.
