Jishishan county in Linxia Hui autonomous prefecture, Gansu province, was struck by a devastating 6.2-magnitude earthquake on Dec 18 at 23:59 BJT.

In the aftermath of the earthquake, the governors of international sister provinces and cities extended their heartfelt condolences to Governor Ren Zhenhe of Gansu province.
