Located at the western end of the Qilian Mountains and the northern edge of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, Yanchiwan National Nature Reserve in Subei Mongolia autonomous county, Northwest China's Gansu province, is a haven for wild animals.

In the deep winter, wild animals such as Tibetan gazelle, Tibetan wild ass, wild yak, and red fox frequently appear at the Yanchiwan National Nature Reserve, roaming and foraging in the snowy mountains, adding vitality to the winter of Yanchiwan.

In recent years, with a focus on its role as an "ecological functional" area, Subei Mongolia autonomous county has prioritized the conservation of the ecological environment as a fundamental and non-negotiable task, promoted the ecological civilization demonstration zone in an orderly manner and elevated biodiversity conservation to a new level.
