As the Lunar New Year of the Dragon approaches, on Feb 1, 18 educators and students from Korea, Mongolia, Russia, and various other nations were graciously welcomed to partake in an immersive exploration of Chinese New Year customs in the rural marketplaces and farmhouses of Xifeng district, Qingyang.

The foreign students and educators were curious to learn from the villagers how to make lanterns, write Chinese characters, set up warm pots, make dumplings, and more. Their collaborative efforts in adorning the rural houses fostered an ambiance of joy and festivity.

This event coincided with the 22nd day of the twelfth lunar month, aligning with the bustling market day of Xiansheng town in Xifeng district. The foreign friends meandered through the vibrant streets, perusing the marketplace, indulging in local delicacies such as fried cakes, and reveling in the delightful experience of procuring New Year's provisions.

Moreover, they joined the local community in the town square to witness a magnificent traditional folk performance, capturing the allure of distinctive costumes and captivating acts through their mobile devices, preserving these cherished moments as keepsakes.
