Siriporn Fuengjitt, one of the four physicians, said it had been her dream to visit Gansu, one of the birthplaces of TCM.

As a Thai Chinese, her family elders know about traditional Chinese medicine and use it for treating common illnesses and body conditioning in daily life. Due to her early exposure, she has developed a strong interest in traditional Chinese medicine.

"At first, I was only known within the Thai Chinese community. But in recent years, others have become familiar with Chinese medicine, and many people come to my TCM clinic for treatment," she added.

She said the prospects of Chinese medicine in Thailand are promising, with more and more young people attracted to traditional Chinese medicine.
