Western China unveils first advanced surgical training center

On Oct 29, the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and the College of Surgeons of Hong Kong signed an agreement with Lanzhou University First Hospital to establish Western China's first Advanced General Surgery Training Center.
During the ceremony, Professor Li Xun, vice president of Lanzhou University and president of the Lanzhou University First Hospital, delivered a speech. He highlighted that the establishment of this center is a pioneering step towards standardized training for general surgeons in Western China, advancing the international standardization of surgical training in the region.
