As spring returns to the land, Gansu province has launched the "Greener Gansu" initiative, setting off a widespread tree-planting campaign across the region.

In Wushan county of Tianshui city, nearly 10,000 people participated in voluntary tree planting, with over 200,000 trees planted. In Xifeng district of Qingyang city, an afforestation plan has been initiated, aiming to complete about 100,000 hectares of forest tending and grassland restoration this year. In Jingning county of Pingliang city, new forest areas are being developed on barren hills to improve the soil.
