The 8th China International Import Expo (CIIE) opened on Nov 5 in Shanghai, with Gansu province sending a strong delegation. A total of 628 organizations — including 393 enterprises — and 1,697 participants have registered, forming 17 trade groups that cover all 14 prefectures, Lanzhou New Area, as well as health and education sectors.
During the expo, the Gansu delegation seeks to strengthen international cooperation through import procurement signings, investment promotion sessions, and visits to key exhibitors. The goal is to leverage the CIIE platform to bring new resources and opportunities to the province's industrial development.
Gansu has also set up a 162-square-meter exhibition space dedicated to its intangible cultural heritage. Featuring four zones — physical displays, VR experiences, live heritage demonstrations, and interactive activities — the pavilion offers a multi-sensory journey into Gansu's cultural traditions, adding a distinctive local flavor to the global trade event.
