Gansu province saw its tourism market thrive during the recently concluded Qingming Festival holiday, as traditional tomb-sweeping combined with spring leisure activities.
One of the highlights was the special tourist trains. The Lanzhou railway bureau launched the "Longnan Spring Charm" train from Lanzhou to Longnan, allowing over 280 tourists to enjoy a "fast travel, slow tour" experience. This train connects resources across Gansu, Shaanxi, and Sichuan provinces, offering professional guides and transport services, deeply integrating railway and tourism.
Gansu also introduced immersive, interactive cultural tourism products, shifting the focus from merely sightseeing to cultural experiences.
Yongjing county's "Yellow River Three Bays" natural landscape became a leisure hotspot, reaching peak visitor numbers on the second day during the holiday. In Pingliang, Kongtong Mountain hosted the seventh Peach Blossom Festival, featuring a "fantasy live theater" with interactive actors and task-based tours.
Water experiences along the Yellow River were a hit, with Gaolan county's Shichuan Pear Orchard launching a water route for pear blossoms, and Yongjing's Bingling Temple Grottoes offering a route linking Danxia landform and grotto ancient relics, enabling tourists to explore the Yellow River's beauty in a single day.
