The Lanzhou University Second Hospital in Lanzhou, Gansu province, was designated as an RNAO-BPSO China HOST on May 13. As Northwest China's only regional HOST center, the hospital joins the global elite in evidence-based nursing, marking a new era of international, standardized development.

The ceremony was held both online and offline, with the main venue at the Dongzhimen Hospital of Beijing University of Chinese Medicine and a sub-venue at the Lanzhou University Second Hospital.

The event saw the unveiling of three centers: the RNAO-BPSO China National Academic Center, China National Practice Center, and China Regional Practice Center.

Doctor Doris Grinspun, CEO of Registered Nurses' Association of Ontario (RNAO) and founder of the Best Practice Spotlight Organization (BPSO) project, extended her congratulations to the newly approved centers.

Hospital President Zhou Wence said that the approval was both an honor and an important responsibility. Since becoming the first BPSO Guideline Application Center in the northwest region in 2018, the hospital has implemented eight RNAO best practice guidelines, establishing a robust model for high-quality care.

Since signing with RNAO in 2018, the hospital has developed an integrated evidence-based nursing system encompassing research, practice, training, and promotion. It has continually deepened international exchanges and cooperation, sending nursing teams to Canada, Singapore, and Finland to participate in international nursing conferences, training sessions, and academic exchanges.
